Company History

Moffat Davis was born in 2013 when Jamie Davis and Mike Moffat decided to turn their passion and skills into a business. Both had worked successfully in the electrical installation industry for several years, and they wanted to create a business that placed customer service at the heart of every project.

Jamie and Mike decided to specialise in the new-build industry — giving developers and builders all the electrical services they require from a single source. They applied their knowledge of how the industry works and developed an effective communication strategy with other trades. This single decision allowed Moffat Davis to increase the quality of installations, cut costs, reduce project times and improve customer satisfaction levels.

Today, we’re one of London’s most respected electrical installation providers. We’ve built and developed a team that can take on any project. And our collective ethic of delivering quality and customer service has opened up an array of opportunities.

We demand the highest standards from everyone in our team, as well as an unwavering commitment to consistency. This approach has delivered a huge amount of success within the property development and building industry — and it will continue to deliver success for many years to come.

ECA

As an ECA Member, our organisation is independently technically assessed, on a regular basis. This ensures that we manage, supervise and carry out our work to the required technical standards with the necessary skill, knowledge and experience. We are, therefore, pleased to share our technical compliance certificate with our clients to demonstrate the areas of electrotechnical work where our organisation has been successfully technically assessed.

ECA also offers a Guarantee of Works and an insurance-backed Bond which ECA Members can provide to their clients at no charge (subject to terms and conditions). These products provide assurances that the work our organisation carries out, is in line with our technical compliance certificate, will meet the relevant UK technical standards and in the case of the Bond it provides cover for the client, in the unlikely event of our insolvency.

Finally, in addition to our own in-house capability, our organisation has ready access to professional technical support from ECA across a broad range of electrotechnical matters. ECA also provides us with access to professional health and safety, business, environmental, and employment and skills support via dedicated helplines and our ‘Members only’ area of the ECA website.
